Job summary

Barge Properties is seeking a Leasing Agent for a part-time, on-site role at Courtyard by the Lake in Lubbock, TX. You will market properties, conduct tours, and facilitate leases while providing excellent customer service to prospective tenants.

You will manage inquiries, assist with applications, and coordinate with property management to ensure readiness of units. Weekend and evening availability is required to support occupancy goals and tenant relations.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of real estate leasing laws and regulations.
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi or AppFolio.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and ethical leasing practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and present rental units to prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits.
• Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits, providing accurate information about availability and leasing terms.
• Assist applicants in completing rental applications, verifying references, and processing lease agreements in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, rental rates, and competitor offerings to effectively position properties.
• Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure units are ready for occupancy and address tenant concerns as needed.
• Track leasing activity and prepare regular reports on occupancy rates, tenant feedback, and leasing progress.
• Promote community events and amenities to enhance tenant engagement and satisfaction.
• Must have reliable transportation and be available to work weekends and evenings as needed.
