Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. seeks a Resident Manager to oversee a portfolio of single-family homes and ensure a superior resident experience.

You will resolve service issues, drive lease renewals, and manage the tenant lifecycle with professional communication and attention to detail. Responsibilities include fostering resident relationships, responding to inquiries, and coordinating move-out reconciliations while upholding state laws and HOA requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience in Property Operations/Real Estate/Property Management preferred.
• Real Estate License and state permits/certifications as required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with property management software a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong tenant relationship management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster positive relationships with residents in your assigned portfolio.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries, striving for swift resolution.
• Drive lease renewals and execute new leases within the market.
• Conduct move-out reconciliation, assess damages, and determine resident charges per state laws.
• Implement collection strategies to minimize evictions and delinquencies.
• Represent the company at eviction hearings and monitor HOA compliance.
