Job summary

Citation Oil & Gas Corp. in Forsan, TX seeks a 3rd level lease operator to operate and maintain all wells and production equipment along the assigned route, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will monitor oil, water, and gas production and report changes to the Production Foreman. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, supervising third party services, documenting monthly well tests, and adhering to chemical programs while avoiding leaks and spills.

Qualifications

• High School education or G.E.D.
• Able to wear breathing air equipment and pass pulmonary function and fit tests.
• Completed industry schools and safety/regulatory training as scheduled by Citation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wells and equipment on assigned route.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all operations.
• Repair as required and oversee third party services when necessary.
• Monitor and record oil, water, and gas production and report changes.
• Perform routine maintenance on well and production facility equipment.
• Report problems to the Production Foreman and perform repairs as required.
• Understand chemical programs on assigned leases and monitor chemical usage.
• Know locations and pressures of flow/injection lines and manage lines owned by others.
• Keep well sites and facilities free of trash.
• Test wells monthly and maintain written records on tests.
• Shoot fluid levels on wells as directed by Production Foreman.
• Operate downhole and surface production equipment.

Responsibilities

• This is the 3 rd level of lease operator expertise. Operates and maintains all wells and equipment on assigned route. Conducts all operations in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the regulatory agencies.
• Makes repairs as required and oversees third party services when necessary to utilize.
• Accurately monitors and records the oil, water, and gas production from assigned leases and reports any changes to the Production Foreman.
• Performs routine maintenance on well and production facility equipment.
• Reports problems (including leaks/spills) to the Production Foreman and repairs as required.
• Clear understanding of chemical programs on assigned leases and monitors chemical usage.
• Knowledgeable of the location and operating pressures of all flow lines and injection lines and is also familiar with any lines owned and operated by other companies on Citation’s leases.
• Keeps well sites and facilities free of trash.
• Accurately tests wells on each lease on a monthly basis. Maintains written records of tests and reports them to the Production Foreman.
• Shoots fluid levels on wells as directed by Production Foreman.
• Knowledge in operating of all downhole and surface production equipment.

Qualifications

• High School education or G.E.D.
• Employment contingent upon being able to wear all types of breathing air equipment, pass a pulmonary function test and a fit test.
• Successful completion of industry schools as scheduled by Citation.
• Successful completion of safety and regulatory training as scheduled by Citation.

Physical Requirements

• Job duties require working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Climbing stairs 20ft in height while wearing breathing apparatus.
• Ability to move in and out of trenches during line repairs, carrying tools and wearing breathing air equipment.
• Lifting up to 50lbs, pushing and pulling required.
