Job summary

Citation Oil & Gas Corp. is seeking a skilled lease operator to manage wells and related equipment on site. The role emphasizes safe operation, adherence to regulations, and coordination with production foremen.

The ideal candidate will perform routine maintenance, monitor production, and oversee third-party services when necessary to ensure reliable operations across Citation’s leases.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED.
• Ability to wear breathing apparatus and pass pulmonary function test and a fit test.
• Completion of industry schools as scheduled by Citation.
• Completion of safety and regulatory training as scheduled by Citation.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains wells and equipment on assigned route, performing operations in a safe manner and in compliance with regulations.
• Makes repairs and oversees third party services when necessary to utilize.
• Monitors and records oil, water, and gas production from leases and reports changes to Production Foreman.
• Performs routine maintenance on well and production facility equipment.
• Reports problems (including leaks/spills) to the Production Foreman and performs repairs as required.
• Understands chemical programs on assigned leases and monitors chemical usage.
• Familiar with flow lines and injection lines and lines owned/operated by other companies on Citation’s leases.
• Keeps well sites and facilities clean and free of trash.
• Tests wells monthly and maintains written records of tests.

Responsibilities

• This is the 2 nd level of lease operator expertise. Operates and maintains all wells and equipment on assigned route. Conducts all operations in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the regulatory agencies.
• Makes repairs as required and oversees third party services when necessary to utilize.
• Accurately monitors and records the oil, water, and gas production from assigned leases and reports any changes to the Production Foreman.
• Performs routine maintenance on well and production facility equipment.
• Reports problems (Including leaks/spills) to the Production Foreman and repairs as required.
• Clear understanding of chemical programs on assigned leases and monitors chemical usage.
• Knowledgeable of the location and operating pressures of all flow lines and injection lines and is also familiar with any lines owned and operated by other companies on Citation’s leases.
• Keeps well sites and facilities free of trash.
• Accurately tests wells on each lease on a monthly basis. Maintains written records of tests and reports them to the Production Foreman.
• Shoots fluid levels on wells as directed by Production Foreman.
• Knowledge in operating of all downhole and surface production equipment.

Qualifications

• High School education or G.E.D.
• Employment contingent upon being able to wear all types of breathing air equipment, pass a pulmonary function test and a fit test.
• Successful completion of industry schools as scheduled by Citation.
• Successful completion of safety and regulatory training as scheduled by Citation.

Physical Requirements

• Job duties require working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Climbing stairs 20ft in height while wearing breathing apparatus.
• Ability to move in and out of trenches during line repairs, carrying tools and wearing breathing air equipment.
• Lifting up to 50lbs, pushing and pulling required.
