Job summary

Citation Oil & Gas Corp. is seeking a qualified Lease Operator to operate and maintain wells and equipment across assigned routes in Wyoming. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and accurate production reporting.

Responsibilities include monitoring oil, water, and gas production, performing routine maintenance, and overseeing third‑party services. Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED and pass required safety tests; physical outdoor work is required year‑round.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all wells and equipment on assigned route as the second level of lease operator expertise.
• Conduct all operations in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the regulatory agencies.
• Make repairs as required and oversee third‑party services when necessary.
• Accurately monitor and record the oil, water, and gas production from assigned leases and report any changes to the Production Foreman.
• Perform routine maintenance on well and production facility equipment.
• Report problems (including leaks/spills) to the Production Foreman and repair as required.
• Have clear understanding of chemical programs on assigned leases and monitor chemical usage.
• Know the location and operating pressures of all flow lines and injection lines and be familiar with any lines owned and operated by other companies on Citation’s leases.
• Keep well sites and facilities free of trash.
• Accurately test wells on each lease on a monthly basis. Maintain written records of tests and report them to the Production Foreman.
• Shoot fluid levels on wells as directed by the Production Foreman.
• Have knowledge of operating all downhole and surface production equipment.

Qualifications

• High School education or G.E.D.
• Employment contingent upon being able to wear all types of breathing air equipment, pass a pulmonary function test and a fit test.
• Successful completion of industry schools as scheduled by Citation.
• Successful completion of safety and regulatory training as scheduled by Citation.

Physical Requirements

• Job duties require working outdoors year‑round in all weather conditions.
• Climbing stairs 20 ft in height while wearing breathing apparatus.
• Ability to move in and out of trenches during line repairs, carrying tools and wearing breathing air equipment.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing and pulling required.
