Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain all wells and equipment on an assigned route.
- Conduct all operations safely and in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the regulatory agencies.
- Makes repairs as required and oversees third‑party services when necessary.
- Accurately monitor and record the oil, water, and gas production from assigned leases and report any changes to the Production Foreman.
- Perform routine maintenance on well and production facility equipment.
- Report problems (including leaks or spills) to the Production Foreman and repair as required.
- Maintain clear understanding of chemical programs on assigned leases and monitor chemical usage.
- Know location and operating pressures of all flow lines and injection lines and be familiar with any lines owned and operated by other companies on Citation’s leases.
- Keep well sites and facilities free of trash.
- Accurately test wells on each lease on a monthly basis. Maintain written records of tests and report them to the Production Foreman.
- Shoot fluid levels on wells as directed by the Production Foreman.
- Operate all downhole and surface production equipment.
Qualifications
- High School education or G.E.D.
- Employment contingent upon being able to wear all types of breathing air equipment, pass a pulmonary function test and a fit test.
- Successful completion of industry schools as scheduled by Citation.
- Successful completion of safety and regulatory training as scheduled by Citation.
Physical Requirements
- Job duties require working outdoors year‑round in all weather conditions.
- Climb stairs 20 feet in height while wearing breathing apparatus.
- Move in and out of trenches during line repairs, carrying tools and wearing breathing air equipment.
- Lift up to 50 lbs, push and pull required.
