Job summary

RWDY Inc. is seeking a Lease Operator I in Carlsbad, NM to monitor and support oil and gas production operations on a rotating schedule. This role focuses on safe operations, routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and production optimization.

You will monitor well performance, operate lease equipment, collect production data, and coordinate repairs while ensuring regulatory compliance. High school diploma or GED and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• 1–5+ years of oilfield production operations experience preferred.
• Experience with wellsite production equipment, compression, separation, and fluid handling.
• Knowledge of artificial lift systems (rod pumps, ESPs, gas lift, plunger lift) beneficial.

Job Title: Lease Operator I

Compensation: $37/hr

Location: Carlsbad, NM

Schedule: 8/6 rotation

Target Start Date: ASAP

Tentative End Date: One year from start date

Scope: The Lease Operator I monitors and supports oil and gas production operations, including well performance, production facilities, and lease equipment. The position focuses on safe operations, routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and production optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily well performance and production rates.
• Optimize production and identify opportunities for improvement.

Education and Experience

• Conduct JSAs, SWCs, and risk assessments before work.
• Participate in safety observations and reporting.
• Understand lockout/tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work systems, and emergency response procedures.

Physical and Schedule Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and production equipment.
• Ability to work rotating schedules, call-outs, weekends, and holidays as required.
