Job summary

Crosby Energy Services in Loving, NM is seeking an experienced Lease Operator to safely operate oil and gas production and condensate stabilization facilities, including stabilizers, compressors, pumps, LACT units, tanks, and associated equipment.

You will work a 7-on/7-off rotation with 12-hour day and night shifts, may require overtime and callouts, and must hold a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of oil and gas operations experience.
  • Experience with production facilities, stabilizers, compressors, LACT units, tanks, pumps, and associated equipment.
  • Understanding of gas and liquid measurement and basic product drying/sweetening processes.
  • Basic mechanical and instrumentation knowledge.
  • Process Technology, Production Technology, or related technical education/certification preferred.
  • Comfortable using laptops and electronic production/reporting systems.
  • Able to use hand tools and perform minor equipment repairs.
  • Able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and changing weather conditions.
  • Able to climb tanks/structures up to approximately 30 feet and perform the physical requirements of the position.
  • Must be willing and able to work 7-on/7-off rotating day and night shifts, including weekends, overtime, and callouts as required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate oil and gas production and condensate stabilization equipment.
  • Operate stabilizer trains, compressors, vapor recovery equipment, boilers, transfer pumps, pipeline pumps, and LACT units.
  • Gauge tanks and monitor production levels, pressures, flows, and equipment performance.
  • Load and unload condensate and NGL trucks and perform required product sampling/testing.
  • Inspect tanks, piping, pumps, compressors, and other equipment for leaks or abnormal operating conditions.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and perform minor hands-on equipment repairs.
  • Monitor chemical injection rates and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Utilize electronic well monitoring and production systems to optimize production.
  • Enter production volumes, well tests, downtime, injection data, compressor downtime, and production losses into electronic databases.
  • Assist with new wells and facilities and optimize production and operating costs.
  • Coordinate with Operations, I&E personnel, contractors, and third-party trucking companies.
  • Maintain accurate operating records and required regulatory documentation.
  • Follow all company, OSHA, PSM, environmental, and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Operate a company-provided vehicle while performing job duties.

Summary

Crosby Energy Services is seeking an experienced Lease Operator to support oil and gas production operations in the Loving, NM area. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production and condensate stabilization facilities, including stabilizers, compressors, pumps, LACT units, tanks, and associated equipment.

Schedule
7 days on / 7 days off. This position rotates between 12-hour day and night shifts and may require overtime during facility upsets, turnarounds, start-ups, or periods of increased workload.
