Anschutz Exploration Corporation is seeking a Lease Operator to optimize and maintain oil and gas production on leased properties. The role involves preparing and submitting daily production reports, ensuring wells and facilities operate reliably, and performing routine field checks.

The position emphasizes safety, environmental stewardship, and adherence to company policies while coordinating with Operations Engineers and Supervisors. Strong communication and basic software skills are valued.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Report daily production and volumes.
• Verify wells and facilities are in working order.
• Run daily pumper routes to check gauges and equipment.
• Perform operational checks on wells, equipment, and facilities.
• Conduct production tests and minor repairs.
• Witness gauging and tests and ensure run tickets are accurate.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.

Description

The Lease Operator optimizes and maintains oil and gas production and lease expenses. Under general supervision, this position prepares, maintains, and submits daily reports and records of daily gas and/or liquid volume, well pressure and volume of chemicals used, etc. Develops and applies an understanding of lease issues. Strong personal commitment to safety and protecting the environment in all activities.

• Report daily production.
• Confirm all production/injection wells and production facilities are in functioning order.
• Run daily pumper routes to check tank gauges, maintain equipment.
• Perform operational checks of assigned wells, equipment, and facilities
• Conduct production tests and perform minor repairs
• Witness gauging and tests, ensuring accuracy of run tickets as required
• Represent the company in delivery/receipt of materials and equipment
• Maintain regulatory, environmental and safety compliance in conjunction with and through close coordination with the Operations Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Environmental Health and Safety Department
• Secure and maintain all company equipment, including but not limited to computers, vehicles, and analysis or test equipment
• Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected
• Provide field wide contact with all personnel in the event of emergency or other significant occurrences
• Maintain facilities painting, general upkeep, vegetation control, road maintenance etc.
• Maintain positive relationship with local, state, and Federal representatives and surface owners
• Train newly hired and/or less experienced lease operators
• Maximize profitability of assigned wells
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred
• Basic competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
