Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel; JD Edwards skills desirable.
• Demonstrates ability to work with team members in a hands-on capacity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and set up leases.
• Record monthly journal entries for lease and PP&E activity.
• Interface with field accounting on lease accounting issues.
• Record asset transfers and disposals.
• Maintain production schedules for mineral assets.
• Assist capital with asset creation and close out.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and rollforwards.
• Review GL reports and resolve issues.
• Suggest process improvements and efficiencies.
• Support lease/PP&E reporting schedules.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
