Job summary

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is seeking a Learning Technology Specialist in California to research, develop, and implement e-learning across topics. The role includes coordinating with vendors, testing LMS, and delivering training in the field and at the Support Center.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Certification and/or training in e-learning and specialized subject matter(s).
  • Minimum five years of experience in HR and L&D; store-level experience preferred; experience with helpdesk support for users of a learning management system/website.
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Researches, develops and helps implement e-learning for training topics.
  • Researches latest technology for e-learning and collaborates with the Learning Technology Manager to select and implement tools.
  • Coordinate with vendors to adapt technology to needs and negotiate contracts.
  • Serve as bridge between Subject Matter Expert and tech vendor; work with Manager on execution of program.
  • Ensure content meets training needs and propose implementation plans; coordinate with IS to test tech in PRG environment.
  • Act as administrator of the e-learning management system to track progression and self-paced learning.
  • Work with international partners to align LMS with UOP's learning management needs.
  • Participate in special projects involving learning and development, tech and media.
  • Develop reports with leaders to support learning effectiveness and data-driven decisions.
  • Lead technology team to troubleshoot LMS and resolve tickets in ServiceNow.
  • Facilitate training activities in field or Support Center on PSL topics as needed.

Summary of Job Description:The Learning Technology Specialist position is responsible for researching, developing and helping to implement e-learning as a methodology for providing training on a variety of topics. This position participates in special projects involving learning and development, technology, and media as required. The Learning Technology Specialist also facilitates training sessions both in the field and at the Support Center.Job Responsibilities:Researches, develops and helps implement e-learning as a methodology for providing training on a variety of topics. Researches the latest technology used to deliver e-learning and works with the Learning Technology Manager on selecting and implementing the technology to deliver training to Operations and Support Center associates.Works with selected vendors of e-learning technology to adapt the technology to the needs of PRG. Helps to negotiate the contract with the vendor and to define the nature of the work required. Serves as the bridge between the Subject Matter Expert and the technology vendor, and works with the Manager on the execution of the e-learning program.Works with the department for whom the e-learning is being developed to ensure the content meets their training needs and proposes an implementation plan. Coordinates with the PRG IS Department to test the technology within the PRG environment and acts as administrator of the e-learning management system to ensure that associates can track the their learning progression and pursue their learning at their own pace.Works with international partners and licensees to ensure support and alignment regarding UOP’s learning management system.Participates in special projects involving learning and development programs, technology, and media, such as promotional materials for new courses or the use of new media in learning delivery. Helps to select appropriate vendors that can provide the needed service (e.g., graphic design, media equipment) and recommends vendors to L&D senior leadership.Researches and prepares for future LMS releases, including reviewing upcoming features, assessing business impact, and supporting readiness planning in partnership with L&D leadership and vendors.Works with leaders to develop reports that support learning effectiveness, operational insights, and data‑driven decision‑making. Ensures reports are accurate, actionable, and aligned with business and L&D priorities.Leads technology team to troubleshoot the Learning Management System and leads and resolves tickets in ServiceNow.Facilitates training activities in the field and/or Support Center on a variety of topics within PSL as needed by L&D.
