Job summary

Stevenson School seeks an experienced Learning Support Specialist for the Lower and Middle Divisions to ensure equitable access to curriculum. The role collaborates with faculty, families, and external providers to develop Student Accessibility Plans and monitor progress.

You will interpret psychoeducational evaluations, design interventions across literacy and executive functioning, and coordinate services to promote student success at Stevenson’s two California campuses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education; master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with neurodiverse students.
  • Experience in assessing and overseeing accessibility plans.
  • Experience in independent/public or elementary/middle school settings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized and small-group academic support for Lower Division students.
  • Design and implement evidence-based interventions in reading, writing, mathematics, executive functioning, organization, study skills, and self-advocacy.
  • Deliver explicit instruction in organization, planning, time management, metacognition, and self-regulation.
  • Interpret psychoeducational evaluations to develop, implement, and annually revise Student Accessibility Plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers to differentiate instruction and accommodations for students with Student Accessibility Plans.
  • Consult with Admissions regarding applicants with learning profiles and review psychoeducational evaluations for prospective students.
  • Maintain confidential student records and ensure compliance with school policies regarding accommodations.
