Job summary

Berkeley Rose Waldorf School seeks a collaborative Learning Support Coordinator to strengthen support for students with diverse learning profiles from Preschool through Grade 8. This full-time role coordinates Individual Learning Plans, offers classroom consultation, and leads targeted small-group instruction in literacy and executive functioning, working with families and faculty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, special education, educational therapy, child development, psychology, or related field.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning profiles in a school or educational setting.
• Experience collaborating with teachers and families.
• Ability to interpret educational and psychoeducational evaluations and translate recommendations into practical supports.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn about Waldorf education and how learning support complements Berkeley Rose's practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Learning Plans for students needing accommodations.
• Conduct classroom observations and screenings.
• Review educational and psycho-educational evaluations and translate recommendations into supports.
• Collaborate with teachers on strategies, accommodations, and instructional approaches.
• Provide targeted small-group instruction in literacy, executive functioning, mathematics, or study skills.
• Meet with families to discuss evaluations, Learning Plans, progress, and outside resources.
• Coordinate communication with evaluators, therapists, and other professionals.
• Participate in Student Support Team meetings and admissions discussions when needed.
• Provide faculty consultation and professional development related to neurodiversity and inclusive practices.
