An education recruitment firm is looking for a Learning Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year in the Los Angeles area. This role involves providing tailored instruction to K-12 students and working collaboratively with teachers and parents. Responsibilities

• Work with a caseload of students in grades K-12, provide one-on-one and small group instruction

• Teach one academic class based on candidates experience or expertise
• Help students develop effective skills and strategies including, but not limited to, executive functioning such as planning, prioritizing, and organizing materials, note-taking, and test preparation
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, administrators, and other professionals
• Monitor and track student progress

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Special Education or Literacy required
• State certification required

In addition to teaching, full-time faculty members may serve as student advisors, club mentors, and contribute in other significant ways to the work of the community. Schools are especially interested in candidates with coaching experience and/or those who can demonstrate initiative and serve as coaches in a variety of significant ways outside of the classroom. Other supervisory responsibilities and duties are shared among faculty members.

Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
