Job summary

The Leona Group is seeking a Paraprofessional across its Arizona campuses to assist classroom teachers in delivering instruction and supporting student learning. You may work with individuals or groups, following the teacher's lesson plans, and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Applicants should have an associate degree or 60 college credits, strong reading, writing and math skills, and an IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Evidence of successful experience in student relations.
• Good general reading, writing and math skills as required for No Child Left Behind requirements for Paraprofessionals.
• Demonstrated proficiency in an instructional support capacity, such as tutoring or assisting in teaching.
• IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher(s) in delivering instruction and supporting student learning.
• Provide individualized instruction, tutoring, guided practice, or translation as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment and support behavior management systems.
• Attend parent/teacher conferences as needed to discuss student progress and behavior.
• Perform non-teaching duties as assigned and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
