Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college in education preferred.
• Experience with children in education or childcare is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable demeanor with a passion for student success.
• Ability to follow directions and collaborate with teachers and staff.
• Background check as required by state regulations.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in delivering daily lesson plans and classroom instruction
• Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students who need additional support
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior
• Assist with preparing instructional materials, activities, and classroom resources
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student needs
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other non-instructional periods
