Job summary

The Central Park Conservancy is seeking a Manager of Learning Programs to support the Senior Director of Organization & Culture Development. This on-site role coordinates and manages staff training and development initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring 5–10 years of training and events coordination, strong communication skills, and experience with instructional design and LMS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, HR, or related field.
• 5–10 years of training, facilitation and events coordination experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with learning technology and LMS.

Responsibilities

• Manage learning offerings for the Park Operations Academy (e.g. School of Groundskeeping, School of Custodial Services).
• Produce training materials and facilitate a multitude of trainings at the Conservancy (various types of manager and employee trainings).
• Collaborate with leadership to refine and expand program offerings.
• Research new training programs and courses and report on findings; communicate program information with managers and learners.
• Perform administrative duties in support of training activities such as scheduling and tracking of attendance to trainings, liaising with outside consultants and external training providers to ensure that learners are enrolled; confirming course logistics with instructor(s); logging information into shared calendar.
• Administer the defensive driving program, tracking certificates of completion, logging certificates into Workday, and following up with employees who require the training.
• Deliver the Defensive Driving training to Conservancy employees; the Conservancy will support the Manager of Learning Programs with obtaining instructor certification if they do not hold it.
• Assist with other responsibilities as assigned.
