Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Portfolio Manager for the Milady Content and Learning Team to drive curriculum product strategy from concept to launch. You will lead a cross-functional group to deliver high-quality learning experiences, informed by market trends, audience insights, and data analysis.

You will collaborate with authors, content creators, and sales to secure adoptions and measure impact. BA/BS with 5+ years in portfolio/product leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• BA or BS Degree required.
• Minimum 5 years in portfolio/product management, product development, sales, marketing, or related management role.
• Up to ~20% travel may be expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead a profitable line of content offerings and develop strategic business plans.
• Provide leadership, representing the portfolio and customers across audiences.
• Use data to make market-informed proposals and guide strategic decisions.
• Develop deep market mastery to inform business plans and campaigns.
• Translate priorities into organized end-to-end development plans with budgets and resources.
• Direct project teams to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Foster creativity and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Build strong relationships with authors, content creators, and adoption decision-makers.
• Understand competitors and anticipate market activity.
• Analyze portfolio plans and align forecasting with goals.
• Partner with Marketing and Sales to seed adoptions.
