Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Portfolio Manager for the Milady Content and Learning Team. You will shape the portfolio and content strategy by understanding the audience, analyzing market trends, testing ideas, and delivering high-quality learning experiences on time.

You will collaborate across Learning Design, Content Production, Marketing and Sales to drive adoptions, manage budgets, and maintain strong author relationships while ensuring measurable business outcomes for beauty education programs

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in portfolio/product management, product development, sales, marketing, or other relevant management role
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to develop strategies and compelling business cases
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Lead a profitable line of content offerings and develop strategic business plans.
• Provide leadership, representing the portfolio and customers across audiences.
• Use data to make market-informed proposals and guide strategic decisions.
• Translate priorities into organized development plans with budgets and milestones.
• Provide project team direction and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Cultivate an environment of creativity and collaboration.
• Deliver quality learning experiences to students and instructors.
• Develop relationships with authors and content creators to gain customer insights.
• Partner with Marketing and Sales to seed adoptions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align product strategy with business goals.
