Job summary

Metropolis is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to collaborate with our L&D team to translate complex learning needs into learner-centered solutions. You will create course materials, video content, and training assets while partnering with SMEs in a fast-growing environment.

The role requires applying instructional design principles, developing engaging materials, and contributing to video content, with a base salary discussed in the posting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design.
• Understanding of adult learning theory and basic instructional design models.
• Basic proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (Rise 360, Articulate, Synthesia or similar).
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet SLA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Familiarity with G Suite and HR/LMS platforms.
• Experience using AI tools to modernize workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing learning programs, courses, and resources under senior guidance.
• Apply instructional design methods and adult learning principles to create engaging experiences.
• Translate SME content into clear, accessible learning materials.
• Contribute to video learning content, including scripting, storyboarding, and basic editing.
• Assist with administering learning initiatives, surveys, and engagement metrics.
• Organize and maintain learning assets, toolkits, and job aids.
• Participate in evaluating learning effectiveness from feedback and data.
• Stay updated on learning tech, AI tools, and trends.
• Prepare for a new LMS implementation in Workday by auditing content with SMEs.
