Use Your Power for Purpose

At Pfizer, we believe in the power of our people to make a difference in patients' lives. You will be at the forefront of our mission, working in the Global Customer Engagement Training (GCET) organization within the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of our Customer Facing Colleagues (CFCs) and their leader lines across the Customer Engagement Platform (CEP) teams. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our CFCs and their leader lines are well-trained and well-equipped to communicate the benefits of our innovative products and pro-patient policies. By designing comprehensive and seamless learning experiences for CFCs and leaders, you will help make our products accessible to more patients and providers, ultimately improving patient outcomes and fostering a deeper understanding of our patient-centric approach.

The Learning Experience Design Director is responsible for curating comprehensive training content and designing learning experiences for commercial CFCs and their leader lines. This role involves leading the design and development of high-quality, impactful learning experiences aligned with business objectives and learner needs. The director will utilize and lead the use of GCET’s learning technology stack to optimize individual, team, and organizational performance. As an SME in curriculum, experience, and instructional design, the director will lead the vision for GCET’s learner journeys and guide teams in translating that vision into buildable, standards-compliant content tailored to various roles and content standards. The role reports to the Learning Experience & Innovation Lead in GCET.

What You Will Achieve

  1. Partner with GCET leadership, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to design, curate, and deliver learning assets and curricula for various commercial CFCs across multiple business units.
  2. Leverage current and emerging learning technologies and design tools to create engaging solutions using platforms like Axonify, Degreed, SuccessFactors, Veeva, QStream, and multimedia content.
  3. Lead instructional design approaches, advise on measurement strategies, and ensure content compliance and quality.
  4. Present solutions to commercial leaders, stay updated on learning trends, and continuously improve curriculum effectiveness.
  5. Follow ‘air traffic control’ principles—meeting learners where they are, avoiding overload, and providing timely, relevant content.
  6. Collaborate with analytics teams to enhance instructional design based on data insights.
  7. Ensure all training materials meet educational standards and are produced with high quality, supporting inspection readiness.
  8. Manage projects, budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent course developments, demonstrating effective project and vendor management.
  9. Act independently on initiatives, exercising judgment in complex situations within GCET and partner teams.

  • 10+ years of project management experience with strong organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience with microlearning, learning platforms, adaptive learning, and digital processes in a commercial context.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and collaborate across functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.
  • Data analysis skills for deriving insights and strategic decision-making.
