Job summary

SBA Home North Carolina is seeking a motivated L&D Specialist focused on Learning & Development and Employee Experience. The role emphasizes creating and delivering production-focused training, standardizing processes, and driving engagement across the facility in Mocksville, NC.

You will partner with leadership to plan for future skills needs, analyze KPIs, and support a robust talent pipeline in a highly automated manufacturing environment. Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of proven experience in an L&D or HR Generalist role.
• Solid knowledge of training practices, HR compliance, labor laws.
• A higher education degree in HR management or related fields.
• Strong experience in skills and workforce planning; familiar with training systems and channels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish a plus.

About Us

SBA Home North Carolina- The first production facility in the USA by SBA Group, a furniture manufacturer from EU member in Lithuania, with operations started in late 2025. Over 250 talented professionals will work here and build their careers. It will be a highly robotic and automated factory with products reaching millions of homes in the US. Today we are seeking for a motivated and detail-oriented L&D Specialist (with focus on L&D and Employee Experience).

Key Responsibilities:

Learning & Development

• Design and implement learning and development programs that align with organizational needs and individual growth opportunities (with primary focus on production trainings).
• Coordinate internal and external training initiatives, tracking participation and measuring impact on performance and engagement.
• Develop and maintain competency and job/talent maps to support performance, growth, and succession planning.
• Standardize and digitize training processes in collaboration with internal centers of excellence, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Monitor and analyze key metrics and KPIs to evaluate effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and drive strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with leadership to plan for future skills needs, build a sustainable skills pipeline, and provide market insights and training strategies based on industry trends.

Employee Experience and Culture

• Champion company values, foster a strong organizational culture to enhance employee satisfaction and retention. Support company-wide engagement initiatives and HR projects, including performance management, change initiatives, and culture development efforts. Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor standards, and internal HR policies. Provide backup support for HR Coordinator and HR Generalist as needed.

We believe you have:

• At least 3 years of proven experience in an L&D or HR Generalist role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment;
• Solid knowledge of training practices, HR compliance, labor laws;
• A higher education degree (preferably in HR management or related fields);
• Strong experience in skills and workforce planning. Practical knowledge of training systems, methods, and channels (ADP Learning Module, JIRA);
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish language is an advantage);
• A proactive, responsible approach to work, a results-driven mindset, and strategic thinking that balances employee and business needs;
• The ability to work effectively with employees at various levels in a dynamic and flexible environment, manage change, and make confident decisions within your area of responsibility;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
