HLBMA LLC seeks an energetic Learning & Development Specialist I to support delivery and maintenance of training programs for production and professional staff in Savannah, GA. Responsibilities

  • Assist with new hire orientation logistics, materials, and PPE issuance.
  • Support delivery of leadership, compliance, and technical training sessions (in-person, virtual, on-demand).
  • Facilitate and manage virtual classrooms through Zoom.
  • Present information using established instructional formats (group discussions, videos, guided exercises).
  • Update and maintain training documents, guides, and job aids under senior staff direction.
  • Create training documents and videos for tools/systems.
  • Assist with LMS administration (enrollment, tracking, reporting).
  • Coordinate scheduling of spaces, equipment, and instructors for sessions.
  • Support day-to-day lab and training room operations.

Summary:

The Learning & Development Specialist I supports the delivery and maintenance of established training programs for HLBMA LLC's production and professional employees. This role focuses on executing existing curricula, supporting new hire orientation, maintaining learning documentation, and assisting with administrative and logistical functions of the L&D team. This position works under the direction of senior L&D staff and leadership on clearly defined tasks and projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with facilitation and administration of new hire orientation, including logistics, materials, and PPE issuance
  • Support delivery of established leadership, compliance, and technical training sessions (in-person, virtual, on-demand)
  • Facilitate and manage virtual classrooms through Zoom
  • Assist in presenting information using established instructional formats (group discussions, videos, guided exercises)
  • Update and maintain existing learning documents, guides, and job aids under senior staff direction
  • Support creation of straightforward training documents and videos on tools/systems
  • Assist with maintaining accuracy of new hire information guides and checklists
  • Support day-to-day administration of the LMS (SuccessFactors, ADP Learning), including enrollment and completion tracking
  • Collect and organize engagement/completion data for leadership reporting
  • Assist with scheduling space, equipment, and instructors for in-person sessions
  • Support computer lab scheduling and day-to-day usage support
  • Assist with vendor logistics (scheduling, materials, communication) under senior staff direction
  • Distribute and collect feedback surveys (e.g., new hire orientation feedback) and summarize results
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of training spaces in accordance with 5S3R standards
  • Keep current on L&D-relevant developments through assigned reading and training
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Education, Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in training, education, or a related field. Prior experience or internship in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.

  • Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when present on the production floor
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer, AV/training equipment, and related tools
  • Combination of office and manufacturing production environments
  • Time on the production floor will expose the employee to typical manufacturing conditions, including noise, temperature variation, and areas requiring PPE
  • Some local travel required to partner sites (e.g., technical colleges, universities, vendor locations)
  • Occasional participation in community/school events (career fairs, mock interviews, outreach)
  • Some international collaboration and occasional travel may be required to support cross-functional learning initiatives
