Job summary

Anderson Trucking Service (ATS) is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist who helps employees grow by turning business needs into practical, engaging training. This hands-on, business-facing role supports Driver Manager and Customer Service teams and partners with Operations and subject matter experts to design effective learning.

You'll create digital and blended learning, use AI to improve accessibility, and develop facilitation skills to deliver leadership programs.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or developing learning solutions that improve employee performance.
• Experience creating digital learning such as eLearning, video, job aids, or other performance support tools.
• Ability to work with leaders and subject matter experts to understand a need and turn it into an effective learning solution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations, Organizational Development, and subject matter experts to understand performance needs and turn them into practical learning solutions.
• Design and develop engaging learning experiences, including eLearning, videos, job aids, blended learning, and other performance support tools.
• Improve existing learning programs and onboarding resources to help employees build skills and apply learning on the job.
• Build strong relationships with leaders and employees to ensure learning reflects real-world business and operational needs.
• Support instructor-led and virtual learning while growing your facilitation skills to eventually deliver key employee and leadership development programs.
• Use feedback, assessments, and available performance information to evaluate what's working and identify opportunities to improve learning.
• Use learning technology, SharePoint, LMS tools, and AI to make learning more accessible, effective, and efficient.

Learning & Development Specialist

If you're passionate about helping employees grow and enjoy turning business needs into practical, engaging learning solutions, you'll feel right at home as our Learning & Development Specialist.

This is a hands-on, business-facing role that primarily supports our Driver Manager and Customer Service teams. You'll partner with Operations, Organizational Development, and subject matter experts to design and improve learning that helps employees succeed on the job.

You will create digital and blended learning, use technology and AI to improve how employees learn, and have the opportunity to grow your facilitation skills and eventually deliver key employee and leadership development programs.

What will help you succeed

• Experience designing or developing learning solutions that improve employee performance.

• Ability to work with leaders and subject matter experts to understand a need and turn it into an effective learning solution.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
• Comfortable learning and using technology, with an interest in growing your facilitation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Even better if you have:

Experience with an LMS, SharePoint, eLearning authoring tools, AI-enabled learning tools, or instructor‑led facilitation. Experience in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or another operational environment is also a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and geographic location. Employees may also be eligible for performance-based compensation programs where applicable.
