Job summary

AAA Central Penn in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to design and deliver training that connects with colleagues across the organization. You'll partner with leaders and subject matter experts to turn business needs into practical learning experiences.

You will develop instructor-led and self-paced learning, support onboarding and leadership development, manage learning technology, and measure effectiveness to continually improve content and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Organization Development, Business, Communications, or related field with three+ years in Learning & Development, instructional design, or related experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and facilitating learning for different audiences, topics, and formats.
• Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems, e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360/Rise, and multimedia tools such as Camtasia.

Responsibilities

• Create learning that connects by designing instructor-led and self-paced learning, videos, job aids, assessments, activities, and resources.
• Facilitate engaging, learner-centered experiences across topics and formats.
• Support onboarding, leadership development, professional skills, compliance, systems training, career development, and companywide learning initiatives.
• Partner with leaders, People & Culture partners, and subject matter experts to identify performance and learning needs and determine solutions.
• Keep learning moving by supporting the LMS and coordinating programs, schedules, resources, and communications.
• Measure and improve by evaluating learner feedback and learning effectiveness to strengthen content and delivery.
• Contribute to broader People & Culture initiatives such as succession planning, employee engagement, and change management.

We're looking for a Learning & Development Specialist who enjoys variety and wants to make an impact across AAA Central Penn. As part of a small team, you'll design and deliver learning, partner with leaders and subject matter experts, support learning technology, and contribute to development initiatives that help our team members and organization grow.

What You'll Bring

• A bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Organization Development, Business, Communications, or a related field, plus three or more years of Learning & Development, instructional design, talent development, or related experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and facilitating learning for different audiences, topics, and delivery formats.
• Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems, e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360/Rise, and multimedia development tools such as Camtasia, with the ability to learn and apply new learning technologies.
• Comfort using AI and emerging technologies to create, enhance, or improve the efficiency of learning solutions.
• The ability to translate complex information into clear, practical, engaging learning that people can apply on the job.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and project-management skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage competing priorities, work independently, and maintain attention to detail and quality.
