Job summary

East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc. in Iowa seeks a Learning & Development Advisor to design training curricula for production, office, logistics, and engineering. You will apply a Learning Path concept across departments and collaborate with management to optimize training programs.

You’ll evaluate training effectiveness, develop curricula, and manage skill assessments and department learning paths for hourly staff. Strong MS Office skills and a proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Teaching or instructional experience in a training and/or development role preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Human Resource Management, or previous management/training experience is advantageous.
• SHRM and/or ATD certification is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates effectiveness of training and updates job qualifications and forms.
• Formulates training curricula and selects instructional methods (CBT, lectures, workshops, etc.).
• Plans, develops, and directs training for hourly production personnel.
• Identifies, develops, validates, and implements skill assessments.
• Coordinates and approves department learning paths.
