Job summary

The University of North Texas invites applications for a Teaching and Learning Design Specialist in the Learning Ecosystem for Empowering Futures (LEEF) within the UNT Provost. The role provides expert partner support to educators across the university, designing learning experiences for in-person, hybrid, and online modalities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field.
• Three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized consultation to educators on course design, pedagogy, learning outcomes, assessment, and teaching growth.
• Contributes to the design and delivery of faculty development programming (workshops, speaker series, structured learning experiences).
• Supports Communities of Practice focused on course and pedagogical design challenges.
• Creates and revises course design documents, curriculum maps, and related instructional materials.
• Advises on instructional strategies, delivery technologies, and assessment approaches to meet objectives.
• Keeps current with scholarship in teaching and learning; participates in or leads scholarly work and conferences.
• Participates in unit planning and coordination with partners.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
