Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, database management, and internet search methods.
• Knowledge of probation and detention rule/policy.
• Knowledge of personnel rules and guidelines.
• Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication.
• Knowledge of varied instructional methods.
• Knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques of adult learning.
• Knowledge of Probation or Detention Services operations.
• Experience with officer certification and training processes.
• Experience coordinating events and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of instructors, including time and attendance, coaching, counseling, and performance reviews.
• Oversees certification academies and field training officer courses; aligns curricula with policy.
• Performs program initiatives like data analysis, surveys, and project plans.
• Develops training materials and maintains training records and transcripts.
• Coordinates statewide training calendars and ensures schedule accuracy for courses.
• Conducts training for certification and in-service programs for juvenile justice professionals.
• Produces monthly reports for leadership and partners to drive improvements.
• Collaborates with managers to identify future training needs and opportunities for development.
• Travels statewide to support training needs and delivery.
