Job summary

Divergent is seeking a graduate-level Learning Architecture and Design Intern to help architect, prototype, and evaluate high-impact learning experiences for advanced manufacturing roles. You will apply adult learning theory and instructional design principles to create modular learning paths and measurable outcomes.

You’ll explore AI tutors, immersive simulations, and AR/VR environments to accelerate skill mastery and engagement across a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD candidate in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype learning modules and pathways for advanced manufacturing technician and engineering roles.
• Learning Experience Innovation: Explore AI tutors, immersive simulations, and AR/VR environments to accelerate skill mastery and engagement.
• Curriculum Architecture: Translate job knowledge, skills and abilities into structured learning journeys and skill progression frameworks.
• Learning Evaluation: Develop learning success metrics tied to real-world performance outcomes.
• Performance Enablement: Embed learning into real-time feedback and capability-building systems.
• Change & Communication Design: Support adoption of new learning systems through targeted messaging.
• Applied Research: Conduct focused research on adult learning and instructional design models to inform improvement.
