What You’ll Do

As the Training & Development Coordinator, you’ll design, deliver, and oversee engaging training programs for team members at all levels—from maintenance technicians to senior managers. Your focus will be on creating a learning culture that drives professional growth, operational excellence, and alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate training programs across leasing, maintenance, operations, and leadership.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new hires and ensure a smooth integration into our SYLIS culture and procedures.
  • Partner with regional managers and property managers to assess skills gaps and training needs.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions (intercity travel required).
  • Create and deliver soft skills training in areas like communication, conflict resolution, time management, and customer service.
  • Track training outcomes and maintain accurate employee learning records and certifications.
  • Coach and mentor high-potential team members for leadership development.
  • Stay current on multifamily housing trends, fair housing laws, safety regulations, and training technologies.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a proactive, organized, and energetic training professional who can roll up their sleeves and bring value through creativity, collaboration, and strategic thinking.

Must-Haves:

  • Fluency in English & Spanish – verbal and written (Non-negotiable)
  • 2–5 years of relevant training experience (multifamily housing preferred)
  • Proven ability to design and facilitate engaging training across departments
  • Strong understanding of property operations (leasing, maintenance, admin, leadership)
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and training platforms
  • Ability to travel to properties within the company portfolio
  • Ability to evaluate performance and provide coaching and feedback

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Business, or related field
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methods
  • Experience tracking and analyzing training metrics to support business goals

You’ll collaborate directly with the CHRO and partner closely with the COO, Regional Managers, Property Managers, Office Teams, and Maintenance Staff to elevate team knowledge and service excellence.
