Livonia, MI - On Site.

We are looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator to join our Performance Materials team in Livonia, MI.

The Performance Materials division is at the forefront of the sustainability transformation in plastics. Our experts co-create products with customers to bring innovations to major industry sectors such as transportation, consumer goods, industrial applications, and construction. These solutions contribute to a sustainable future by advancing thermal resistance, robustness, and lightweight applications.

We seek a professional to facilitate the development, implementation, and documentation of employee training programs, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards. You will collaborate across departments to support training activities, assess needs, and develop instructional materials. Your coaching and communication skills will be vital in delivering effective training and fostering a high-performance culture.

As a Learning and Development Coordinator, you will:
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and documentation of employee training and testing to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaborate with mentors, employees, managers, supervisors, EHS staff, and corporate L&D peers to support training activities.
  • Assess training needs, translate job requirements into training plans, and develop instructional materials based on manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify gaps to continuously improve skills and knowledge, maintaining alignment with current trends.
  • Deliver training through one-on-one instructions, in-the-field, and classroom settings, including contractor orientation.
  • Participate in audits to demonstrate completed and up-to-date training; maintain training records to ensure audit readiness.
Minimum qualifications include:
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; polyurethane experience or training and development background preferred.
  • Knowledge of document control databases and computer-based training programs.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and regulatory standards.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and training skills.
  • Effective collaboration skills to work across multiple divisions.
