Job summary

Maricopa County seeks a Learning Acceleration Partnership Media Specialist to design and produce communications and professional learning materials for school districts, leveraging graphic design tools and MS Excel for interactive resources. Two years of design tool experience and a Bachelor's degree in graphic design, multimedia, or related field are required; school/district experience is highly valued.

The role collaborates with grant teams and client groups across sites in Maricopa County.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience using graphic design tools.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, multimedia, communications, or related field.
• A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience in a school/district setting is valued.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, plans, designs, and produces a broad spectrum of communication and professional development materials.
• Gathers requirements and designs new resources for digital and printed applications (workbooks, slide decks, presentations, infographics, etc.).
• Re-designs existing resources for aesthetic appeal and usability.
• Facilitate feedback loops throughout the production process.
• Design infographics demonstrating user experience understanding.
• Create graphics for social media formats and various print sizes.
• Order materials and manage inventory of equipment and assets.
• Collaborate with agency communications team on social media content and strategies.
• Work with clients to assess needs, priorities, and objectives.
• Plan staffing, equipment, and materials for media productions or events.
