Job summary

The Donelson-Hermitage YMCA in Nashville is hiring a Learn to Swim Instructor for middays. This part-time role teaches swim lessons with energy and safety in a welcoming YMCA environment.

Shifts are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-1pm. The YMCA values community, growth, and helping swimmers build confidence and essential water safety skills.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate with both swimmers and parents.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate swimming ability and safety awareness.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including middays.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons with energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement
• Ensure the safety and success of all class participants
• Provide feedback to swimmers and communicate progress with parents
• Create engaging lesson plans and help participants build confidence in the water

Pay Range starts at $14 per hour (or more depending on experience)

Shifts: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-1pm
