Job summary

CAE offers a mission-driven role as an Instructor Pilot to deliver flight simulator and ground school training in line with CAE curricula and regulatory standards. You will lead professional pre- and post-flight briefings and serve as a subject matter expert for client training and internal course development.

You will also maintain training records, ensure qualifications, and tailor instruction across various aircraft types for licenses and certifications, with a path toward Training Center

Qualifications

• Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written
• Unrestricted PIC Type Rating preferred
• FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours preferred
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet‑based programs
• Participation in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program
• Experience flying business aircraft highly desired
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.
• After approximately 1.5+ years, qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.

CAE Instructor Pilots - All for the pursuit of aviation excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.
• Conduct professional, comprehensive pre‑and post‑flight simulator briefings.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for client training and internal course development.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing training records, maintaining instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training when needed.
• Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.
• After approximately 1.5+ years (subject to business need), qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
• Occasionally move into different positions, including confined spaces.
• Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods (standing or sitting).
• Occasionally move about to accomplish tasks.
• Occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.
• Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Professional character with strong verbal and written communication skills.
