Job summary

CAE is seeking an Instructor Pilot in the United States to deliver flight training in simulators and ground school, aligning with CAE curriculum and customer requirements.

As an SME, you will lead client training and, after 1.5+ years, may qualify to become a Training Center Evaluator (TCE). Strong teaching skills and aviation experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted ATP certificate or ATP Written completed.
• Unrestricted PIC Type Rating preferred.
• 3,000 total flight hours and Part 121 experience useful.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools.
• Must participate in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
• Experience flying business aircraft is highly desired.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.
• Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flight training in simulator and ground school per CAE curriculum.
• Serve as SME, lead clients through training sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• An unrestricted ATP certificate or have completed the ATP Written

• An unrestricted PIC Type Rating preferred

• Part 121 experience and 3,000 hours of total flight time

• Basic computer proficiency - Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs

• Must participate in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program

• Experience flying business aircraft highly desired

• Strong Communication skills and a passion for teaching others

• Must be authorized to live/work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications (only 1 is required):

• CRJ type rating

• E170 type rating

• B737 type rating

Instructor Pilot US

Responsible for the delivery of flight training in a flight simulator and ground school in accordance with the appropriate regulatory agency, CAE approved curriculum, and customer requirements. Acts as subject matter expert (SME), ready to lead client(s) through their training. After 1.5+ years, per business needs, designated Instructors are expected to qualify as Training Center Evaluators (TCEs) and customer contract check airmen.

• Provides simulator/flight or classroom instruction on one or more aircraft types as assigned for the issue of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.

• Responsible for conducting pre and post flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner in accordance with CAE standards

• Other required administrative duties (completes training records, recommends remedial training when necessary, track his/her own instructional qualifications and activity, etc.)

• Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in creation of curricula and courseware when required

Physical Requirements of this role include:

• The physical dexterity required in performing tasks that require hand / eye coordination and fine motor skills.

• Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (as many as 10 hours) with limited breaks

• Ability to sit, stoop, climb, and twist and turn
