Job summary

CAE is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot to deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with CAE curricula and regulatory requirements. You will conduct thorough briefings, serve as a subject matter expert, and maintain precise training records while advancing instructional qualifications.

Ideal candidates bring ATP certification, US work authorization, and strong teaching skills, with experience in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol program and 135 operations preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate or have completed ATP Written
• Unrestricted PIC Type Rating preferred for advanced categories
• 3,000+ total flight hours strongly preferred
• FAR Part 135 experience is advantageous and valued

Responsibilities

• Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in line with regulatory requirements and CAE curriculum.
• Conduct pre- and postflight simulator briefings.

• Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.

Job description

CAE Instructor Pilots - All for the pursuit of aviation excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.
• Conduct professional, comprehensive pre and postflight simulator briefings.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for client training and internal course development.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing training records, maintaining instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training when needed.
• Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.
• After approximately 1.5+ years (subject to business need), qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
• Occasionally move into different positions, including confined spaces.
• Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods (standing or sitting).
• Occasionally move about to accomplish tasks.
• Occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.
• Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.
• Unrestricted PIC Type Rating preferred.
• FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internetbased programs.
• Participation in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
• Experience flying business aircraft highly desired.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Strong attention to detail with commitment to accurate recordkeeping in accordance with CAE and FAA standards.
