Job summary

Crane Pumps & Systems in Piqua, Ohio, seeks a Value Stream Supervisor to lead a manufacturing value stream within the Operations team. You will guide hourly staff, drive lean improvements, and coordinate with the Plant Manager to achieve on-time delivery and cost/quality targets.

The role emphasizes development of direct reports, utilization of IATF tools, and ongoing process improvements, with a focus on safety and 5S adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Lean manufacturing experience in operations.
• Ability to travel when required.
• State issued driver’s license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience with process improvement tools (PFMEA, SPC, 5S).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a strong manufacturing team by promoting Crane’s core values.
• Assign staff to meet departmental goals and support on-time delivery.
• Lead Gemba cadences, weekly walks, and startup/standup meetings.
• Analyze and track KPI data daily.
• Develop and implement methods to improve cost, quality, and safety.
• Ensure 5S standards are adhered to in area.
• Drive intellectual capital development for direct reports and leadership.
• Own the value stream from inventory to delivery and push for continuous improvement.
