Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Value Stream Manager to lead end-to-end optimization of manufacturing value streams. You will map current and future states, identify waste and losses, and drive cost-out through cross-functional collaboration and structured problem-solving approaches.

The role emphasizes Lean principles, process optimization, and value stream mapping to improve flow, efficiency, and quality across product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Operations Management.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Lean background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Current State maps and Future State maps to visualize workflows.
• End-to-end understanding of waste and losses related to performance, labor, scrap and quality.
• Process optimization of materials and information flow, eliminating non-value-added activities.
• Use problem-solving tools (Kaizen, SMED, 7 WCM Tools) and structured deployment of objectives.
• Analyze work stations using MODAPTS methodology to balance lines and improve flow.
• Lead rapid improvement events and cross-functional collaboration to drive cost out and improve efficiency.
