Qualifications

• BS - Engineering or Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading plants and driving Lean in complex manufacturing facilities.
• Strong change management and Lean culture transformation experience.
• Experience directing employees who are not direct reports.
• Change agent role in complex transformational activities.
• Significant experience implementing Lean across multiple operations.
• Led more than 25 Kaizen events.
• Proven success in policy deployment goals and improving throughput, cycle time, inventory turns and costs.
• At least one transformational Lean initiative with measurable bottom-line results.
• Formal Lean training from an academy or from established Lean operating systems.
• Expertise in manufacturing the product materials within span of control.
• Private equity lean transformation experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with Lean Steering Committee, Plant Manager, and on-site Lean experts to identify Kaizen events and ensure proper resourcing.
• Ensure Lean activities are linked to business objectives and develop a site transformation plan with site management.
• Prepare for events, develop and implement a communication plan, follow up, audit results, and mentor KPO team members.
• Build and maintain the foundation for continuous improvement via an effective Lean Operating System.
• Partner and mentor manufacturing leadership in Lean techniques to drive transformational progress.
• Teach Lean tools to all levels of the organization (Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Set-up reduction, Standard Work, Visual Management).
• Act as consultant, participant, or lead on Kaizen events.
• Foster a change-friendly culture with buy-in at all levels.
• Maintain overall program tracking for impact and cultural improvements.
• Participate in special projects and any other duties as assigned.
