Job summary

Astec Industries, Inc. seeks an Operational Excellence Manager at the Chattanooga site to lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will drive strategy deployment, facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events, and implement TPM and 5S, standard work, and visual management to eliminate waste. You will mentor leaders, deploy training programs, and partner with corporate teams to ensure alignment with growth plans and capital investments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement across multiple functions.
• Proven track record of facilitating Kaizen events delivering measurable manufacturing, engineering, sales, service, and administrative improvements.
• Experience with Hoshin Kanri is highly preferred and ability to align actions with strategic goals.
• Strong coaching, training and communication skills across all levels from operators to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean deployments at plant and business-unit levels to align with corporate goals.
• Plan and facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events driving measurable improvements.
• Champion TPM deployment including autonomous, planned, quality, and early equipment management.
• Design Lean/TPM training programs and measure impact with dashboards.
