Job summary

Duke Energy in Charlotte is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead lean events and business integration within Power Grid Operations. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, translate outcomes into actionable improvements, and drive sustainability of results across multiple sites.

The role requires deep Lean/Six Sigma expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes in a hybrid work environment with travel up to 5-15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience in continuous improvement, engineering, operations or related field.
• In lieu of degree, associate degree with 11+ years of related experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, business process management, or project management.
• Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
• Willingness to immerse into the business to enhance knowledge specific to events.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proper analytics support for lean efforts.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute lean events and business integration efforts based on senior management priorities, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring sustainability.
• Generate and deliver process framework outputs and readiness materials for business integration.
• Coach and mentor peer teams and stakeholders on lean concepts and application to the business model.
