Job summary

Barton Malow seeks a Lean Manager 2 to partner with project teams in the United States to identify waste and implement incremental improvements. The role focuses on Lean leadership, training, and collaborative problem solving across construction projects.

You will drive Lean events, map value streams, develop standard work, and mentor team members to spread Lean principles across projects. Travel for assignments is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Lean fundamentals.
• Group facilitation skills – ability to engage, motivate, and focus a room full of people, regardless of prior experience with the subject matter.
• Ability to overcome resistance to change and build buy-in at the organization and project levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Lean project support services within area of responsibility while building strong relationships with project teams.
• Facilitate Lean events (e.g., value stream mapping, process mapping, kaizen events) with cross-functional teams.
• Lead the development, ongoing maintenance, and implementation of value stream map(s), associated process maps, and standard work instructions within area of responsibility.
• Drive continuous improvement within area(s) of responsibility.
• Teach Lean principles to Barton Malow team members through structured learning opportunities and mentorship
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Lean Team programs and standard work.
• Advance personal knowledge of Lean tools and methods
