Job summary

Barton Malow Company is seeking a Lean Manager 2 to partner with project teams in Michigan to identify waste and drive incremental improvements. The role focuses on leading Lean project support services, facilitating value stream mapping and kaizen events, and developing standard work within project teams.

The ideal candidate will mentor others in Lean principles, advance Lean tools, and contribute to Lean Team programs. Travel to project sites is expected as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Lean project support services within area of responsibility while building strong relationships with project teams.
• Facilitate Lean events (e.g., value stream mapping, process mapping, kaizen events) with cross-functional teams.
• Lead the development, ongoing maintenance, and implementation of value stream map(s), associated process maps, and standard work instructions within area of responsibility.
• Drive continuous improvement within area(s) of responsibility.
• Teach Lean principles to Barton Malow team members through structured learning opportunities and mentorship
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Lean Team programs and standard work.
• Advance personal knowledge of Lean tools and methods

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Facilitate Lean events (e.g., value stream mapping, process mapping, kaizen events) with cross-functional teams.

• Teach Lean principles to Barton Malow team members through structured learning opportunities and mentorship

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
