Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Lean Project/Operations Leader to drive customer value, nurture a learning environment, and improve collaboration across business units and projects.

You will coach teams in Last Planner System, Lean Roadmap, standard work, and visual management; lead workshops and training; implement improvement initiatives with regional leadership; and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills; Lean knowledge and Last Planner System experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Lean initiatives to strengthen enterprise culture and align with region/company goals.
• Work daily with project teams using Last Planner System and Lean Roadmap.
• Provide insight, direction, and strategic alignment to the Business Unit/Project teams.
• Support successful project launches using Launch Matrix.
• Develop and conduct Lean training and standard work across regions.
• Establish and maintain Visual Management and 5S on projects and in BU processes.
• Coach teams on Lean principles and continuous improvement workshops.
