Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Lean/Last Planner System Coach to lead and support Lean transformation at the business unit or project level in Detroit, MI. This role focuses on enhancing customer value, fostering a learning environment, and maximizing project team collaboration.

You will work with project teams to implement Lean practices, support standard work, and conduct region-wide lean training to drive continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus five years of related experience required.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills; Last Planner System experience preferred.
• Willing to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Act as change agent to develop lean culture aligned with goals.
• Work daily with teams using Last Planner System mechanics.
• Provide insights and strategic alignment to management.
• Support successful project launches via Launch Matrix.
• Set up Visual Management and Lean tools on projects.
• Lead lean training and coaching regionally.
