Job summary

Buyers Products Company is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence across manufacturing operations using Lean principles, process optimization, and data-driven problem solving. The role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance through workflow design, labor standards, and waste elimination.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing with Lean experience and a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, technology degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing/production environment is preferred.
• Six Sigma green belt is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop workflow processes in manufacturing environments from layout, time studies, BOM and routing setups, material flow, work instruction development, line balancing, waste elimination.
• Provide innovative process solutions for diverse project types.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update engineering labor standards.
• Implement and educate workforce on 5S principles.
• Integrate new process solutions while improving existing manufacturing processes.
• Use data-driven approaches to improve KPIs across projects with cross-department coordination.
• Support all production activities at the manufacturing location.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement to improve people, products, and processes.
• Demonstrate technical ability through engineering skills and knowledge.
• Keep current with technical advancements.
