Job summary

Trane Technologies in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Team Leader to drive Lean initiatives and manage daily operations on the production floor. You will lead MDI board meetings, coordinate schedules, ensure safety, and maintain product quality while coaching other team leaders.

The role requires hands-on leadership, the ability to train others, and strong problem-solving; you'll work with multiple departments, monitor performance, and strive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced, on-site

Qualifications

• Lead MDI board meetings and Lean-related activities.
• Coordinate work schedules and overtime with minimal supervision.
• Ensure employee safety and adherence to EHS requirements.
• Coach and develop team leaders to improve performance.
• Possess knowledge and application of Lean Principles.

Responsibilities

• Leads MDI board meetings and other Lean-related activities.
• Assigns work schedules and coordinates overtime.
• Ensures the safety of employees and adherence to EHS requirements.
• Monitors the quality of products and work.
• Troubleshoots simple machines, processes, or products, or employee issues.
• Leads and trains team leaders, provides feedback and coaching.
• Frequently communicates with team members, supervisors, and across departments, and with plant leaders.
