Job summary

Ralliant is seeking a student intern in Connecticut to support purchasing, supplier follow-up, and supply chain improvement activities within a manufacturing context. You will collaborate with buyers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to advance projects and drive Lean initiatives.

You will learn the Ralliant Business System (RBS), assist with POs, delivery tracking, and data analysis in Excel, and contribute to Kanban and VMI programs while gaining hands-on experience in continuous

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's or MBA in SCM/Operations/Business Admin with GPA 3.0+.
Basic understanding of purchasing, supply chain, inventory or manufacturing processes.
Proficient in collecting and analyzing data with Excel.

Responsibilities

Learn and apply lean principles (RBS) to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist buyers with purchase orders, supplier follow-up, delivery dates, lead times, and material availability.
Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery performance, pricing, and supply issues.
Support Kanban and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs to improve material flow.
Assist with RFQs, quote comparisons, sourcing activities, and supplier research.
Collect and analyze purchasing, supplier, inventory, and delivery data to identify trends and improvements.
Support supplier performance activities, including on-time delivery and lead time.
Create and maintain Excel reports and purchasing/supply chain metrics.
Prepare project updates, data summaries, recommendations, and final presentations for leadership.
May be assigned additional projects at the manager's discretion.
