Job summary

The ideal candidate has 3–10 years in process/manufacturing engineering, a BS in engineering, and proficiency with Lean Six Sigma, DOE/ SPC, and validation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Materials engineering or related field.
• 3–10 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical device/pharma).
• Experience applying Lean Six Sigma/continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Experience with Minitab or similar statistical tools.
• Experience with process validation, change control, or related activities.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve manufacturing processes to meet yield, output, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Investigate issues and identify root causes using data-driven methods.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, and other CI methodologies.
• Perform process characterization and analyze data to identify variation sources.
• Use statistical tools to evaluate processes and support decisions.
• Lead or support CI projects focusing on yield, scrap reduction, and efficiency.
• Support changes within a regulated quality system and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Assist with change control and documentation in manufacturing environments.
• Spend ~20% on the manufacturing floor collaborating with technicians and teams.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to cross-functional teams.
• Maintain methodical troubleshooting, documentation, validation, and project execution.
