Job summary

Cirtec Medical seeks an Operational Excellence Manager to lead Lean, Six Sigma initiatives across manufacturing, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize capacity in our Lowell, MA operations.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement, expand training, and maintain safety and quality standards while delivering results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of manufacturing or operational excellence experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; medical device experience is a plus.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience; Black Belt certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.
• Must read/write/speak fluent English with cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational plans for staffing, equipment, capacity, and space requirements.
• Lead production line design, layout improvements, capacity planning, and ramp-up activities for new and existing programs.
• Develop, monitor, and report key operational performance metrics.
• Identify and lead cost-reduction and process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, SMED, and other continuous improvement tools.
• Review production processes, schedules, workflows, and engineering requirements to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and productivity.
• Lead initiatives to optimize labor, material, overhead, equipment utilization, and manufacturing flow while maintaining quality standards.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and senior leadership to resolve manufacturing challenges and implement improvements.
• Provide leadership and direction for operational excellence initiatives across departments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
